Top 5 Frequently Asked Questions About Medical Scrubs

1. How Often Do I Need To Wash My Scrubs?
When it comes to washing scrubs, it’s easy to get lazy. You get home as the sun is coming up. You FINALLY catch up on a little bit of sleep and then you head back to work. That being said, if there’s one thing you can’t forego, it’s washing scrubs. You absolutely have to wash them after every single wear, like it or not!
2. How Do I Wash Them?
To ensure the lifespan of your scrubs, you want to make sure to wash them properly. Most of our scrubs are 65% polyester and 35% cotton so they won’t shrink. Just wash them in cold water and tumble dry on low. But be sure to always check the inside tag or instructions to make sure your scrubs stay in tip top shape.
3. Why Are There Only Ugly Colors?
It can be discouraging feeling like you’re wearing the same thing day in and day out. Luckily at Blue Sky we have a wide variety of colors, patterns, and styles so your scrubs can be an expression of your own personal style! Don’t get lost in a sea of blue and grey any longer!
4. Can I Be Comfortable And Still Professional?
One of our greatest points of pride is the fact that we can provide affordable, and fashionable scrubs that are so comfortable you might not want to take them off. No more itchy fabric or stiff material. You’ll have to force yourself to take them off before bed. And errands. And everyday life.
5. Can I Wear My Scrubs To Dinner?
That being said, sometimes you get out of work at 8 p.m. and it turns out your friends had a dinner reservation, well, a half hour ago. While we advise changing and not wearing your scrubs out, it’s not proven that bacteria can live on scrubs any more so than bacteria can live on cell phone, shoes, or other clothes. That being said, if it looks like you came out of a horror movie, it might be best to change before you chow down. We also carry designer scrub hats in many styles from the finest fabrics in the world.
