5 Snacks To Keep You Going All Shift Long: Blue Sky Scrubs- Austin Texas

Posted by

Are you feeling fatigued throughout your shift? We understand; you do hard work, and are on your feet for far too many hours at a time. It’s exhausting! But you know what helps? Eating the right snacks on your shift! Below are five great snacks to have when you’re on the go at work:

Mixed Nuts or Trail Mix

Almonds, cashews, peanuts, pistachios- they’re all great! Especially when mixed together and sweetened with raisins or dried fruit. Pack it all in a ziploc baggie for your shift, and you’re good to go!

Peanut Butter

When we think protein, the first thing we think of is peanut butter! Peanut butter is packed with protein and can be eaten on just about anything- bread, crackers, pretzels, etc!

Beef Jerky

This is a great snack because it can keep fresh for months, as long as it’s packaged properly! You can store it in your locker for a rough day. But avoid jerky brands that contain a lot of sugar and sodium; those jerkies contain less protein!

Ham and Cheese Roll Ups

These are easy to prepare the night before your shift, and they’re delicious! Consider the ham and cheese roll up to be a sandwich without the bread. You can easily eat it on the go.

Greek Yogurt with Granola

Greek yogurt has more protein in it than regular yogurt, making it an excellent choice for a snack on the go! It also provides plenty of calcium and probiotics that help to fight off inflammation. So mix your bowl together and start the day out on the right foot!

At Blue Sky Co., we care about not just your medical attire, but how you feel on the job! We hope these tips have inspired you to bring along better snacks this week, and as always- log online to our website and view our collection of amazing scrubwear
