So we’ve compiled five useful and applicable tips for keeping your energy going all throughout your shift! Follow them closely and you’ll be well on your way to success!
Get Enough Sleep
It all starts here. Get the right amount of sleep at night and you should be golden. The precise amount of sleep that you need is different for each person, other we’d advise you on that, too. When you wake in the mornings, try a contrast shower! Contrast showers are alternating between hot and cold water, for about 30 seconds at a time. It takes some getting used to, but helps to energize your body and mind!
Wear the Appropriate Shoes
For this line of work, you need shoes that fit you properly. Wearing the right shoes helps to prevent foot and back pain, which are serious downers!
Eat Snacks High in protein
Keep snacks handy that are high in protein, like peanuts, and protein bars. You can consume these quickly while you’re on the go, and they’ll help you keep your energy up!
Take a Power Nap
If you get a break, take a power nap! While you’re waiting on your coffee to kick in, take a twenty minute rest. By the time you’re up, the caffeine will have kicked in, and you’ll be plenty more energetic.
Wear Comfortable Scrubs
You might be thinking “Comfortable clothing makes me crave naptime!” But in fact, wearing comfortable scrubs will keep you from feeling irritable and grumpy- and this alone can keep you energetic, excited, and productive! You can easily find a comfy pair of scrubs at Blue Sky Co.!
