Shelby Marquardt, M.D. — Founder, Chief Creative Officer

Shelby's entrée into the world of scrub hat design was a product of necessity, talent and the initiative to identify a need in the market and fulfill it. Using her expertise while an anesthesiology resident, she both hand-made the prototype for the first Pony Scrub Hat and tested it herself. While Shelby continues in her medical endeavors, she retains creative control over blue sky's product line and oversees manufacturing and quality control.

David Marquardt — President and CEO

Having proven himself as a successful entrepreneur, David, owner of a large Austin, Texas based business provides his corporate experience to ensure the success of blue sky scrubs. As both Shelby's life and business partner, David oversees all commercial operations of the firm.

Kathy Lesko — Medical Sales and Public Relations

With over 20 years in the healthcare industry, Kathy identifies and promotes blue sky's scrub hat product line to the medical communities that will ultimately benefit most from these innovative products.
